Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://help.glpi-project.org/documentation/12-en/overview/global-view-personal-and-helpdesk.md). # Global view, personal and helpdesk The display of columns in a GLPI object list can be configured according to 3 possible views: **global**, **personal**, supplemented by the **helpdesk** view, specific to support. * **Global View**: The view displayed by default for profiles with a standard interface. * **Personal View**: A view that can be modified by the user with a profile having a standard interface. This view will replace the global view (which can be modified or deleted at any time). * **Helpdesk View**: A view specific to support. It allows displaying columns for profiles with a simplified interface. Each view can be configured from the object in question (computers, tickets, projects, etc.). Depending on the permissions granted to the different [profiles](/documentation/12-en/administration/profiles.md), it will be possible to modify the **global view** for all users. The **personal view** will be modified by the user for one or more chosen objects.
