General configuration
This tab allows you to customize the main behavior of the application.
Basic Information

URL of the application: used in various links provided within the application, in notifications, and for the API. It is defined at the time of installation based on the URL that was used for it.
Text in the login box: specific text to display at the top of the login block.
Simplified interface help link: link to help displayed for users using the simplified interface.
Standard interface help link: link to help displayed for users using the standard interface.
Default decimals limit: Default number of decimals after the comma.
Allow FAQ anonymous access: allows access to the
Frequently Asked Questions <FAQ>without any login in GLPI. A link to access the FAQ will be displayed below the login area when activated.Allow unauthenticated uploads: Warning! Do not use this option if your GLPI is accessible from the Internet. Use it at your own risk.
Dynamic Display

Page size for dropdown (paging using scroll): number of items displayed in a dropdown list with each scroll.
Don't show search engine in dropdowns if the number of items is less than: the search in dropdown lists will not be displayed if there are fewer results than configured here.
Search Engine

Items seen: allows displaying the viewed item criterion which allows matching on displayed columns (No / Yes last criterion / Yes default criterion).
Global search: activates global search by adding a search field at the top of the interface.
All: behavior identical to viewed items, but adds an all criterion.
Default search results limit (page): maximum number of search results displayed at once across all search pages.
Default characters limit (summary text boxes): maximum number of characters displayed and visible in search results. If you display the content of a ticket, for example, it will be truncated to this number of characters.
Default url length limit: identical to the above, but applies to URLs.
Item locks

Use locks: allows enabling/disabling locks. Locks limit the modification of an item when another user is already on the object in question. This prevents two people from modifying information on the same object at the same time.
Profile to be used when locking items: allows identifying which profile will be able to lock GLPI objects (only one profile will be authorized to lock an object).
List of items to lock: Select the type of object to lock (multiple selections possible).
Project - Task state

Default selection of task statuses when they are created.
Status of unstarted tasks: New / In Progress / Closed
Status of tasks in progres: New / In Progress / Closed
Status of tasks done: New / In Progress / Closed
Auto login

Time to allow "Remember Me": number of days before the password is required again for local accounts (up to 60 days).
Default state of the checkbox: check or uncheck the Remember me box on the login page.
Source dropdown on login page: display or not the list of external authentication sources (does not affect authentications with OAuth SSO).
